I know, I know, enough with the spring blogging. But seriously peeps-
It’s finally and officially spring. The trees are flowering and buds are budding. I even planted my garden this week. Needless to say, I am one happy camper.
The only thing I could wish for more of at this point is the sunshine. Obviously this is a major #firstworldproblem, so I’m not going to dwell on that.
With spring comes people thinking about booking summer and fall photo shoots. I’m so stoked to say that I have 3 weddings on the books for this year. It should be a lovely end of summer and fall.
My all time favorite part of spring though is definitely the flowers. Flowers on trees, springing up out of the ground, showing up in the local grocery stores and Home Depot! Everything is singing spring!
Also, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love even the dandelions. Yes they are weeds, but they are bright yellow and full of wishes. Remember being a kid and blowing the little seedlings off like your life depended on it? I never thought, “Oh geesh, I’m just spreading more weeds.” Nope, I was totally spreading wishes. I see this in my own little ones now. Walking to school with my almost four year old and he is trying to pick the biggest and best for his mama and his teacher too. Most mama hearts would agree that there isn’t much sweeter than your little one handing you a bouquet of “flowers-“ handpicked with more love than we know. I know sometimes it’s hard to realize what these weeds represent. Look in the eyes of the kiddo giving them to you-it won’t be very hard afterwards.
It’s spring ya’ll. Let’s spend less time worrying about the sun and more time being thankful for the little weeds- even I can see them as flowers if I try.
